Santa Elizabeth Moi is a business professional who has abroad work experience both in the NGO sector and profit sector. She has grown up in Uganda and currently lives in the Netherlands.
In Uganda she worked in a construction company (Zzimwe) where she monitored projects and provided support in keeping inventory at different stages of projects.
She also worked as a salesperson for computers and accessories company owned by a Danish Citizen living in Uganda in the early 2000s where she promoted sales and sold items on instalments to help customers overcome financial constraints on their cashflows. In this role, she was able to operate in three countries in Uganda, Eastern DRC Congo and South Sudan even though the idea was to operate in Uganda.She was always ready to take long strides to reach her potential in gaining profits while creating impact by boosting local business.
She also worked with a German NGO (GTZ) in Uganda, where we helped to implement projects on nutrition, conflict resolution and youth empowerment in refugee settlements to create a peaceful environment for refugees and good health for children and providing vocational training for the youth.
In the Netherlands, she worked for two corporate organisations (MoneyGram International and OR finance)where she was involved in transactions (money transfers)around the world. She is experienced in compliance related matters like anti-money laundering activities. Sheimplemented and monitored closely policies formed and reporting on any suspicious activities during the process of transaction.
At the NGO level In the Netherlands, she was part of the formation of a policy and its launch in all the countries where Amref Health Africa operated in. She was also responsible for business-to-Business reporting where she engaged with multi-stakeholders in Europe and Africa.
Santa holds a Masters in Business Administration from The Hague University of Applied Science and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Management from Uganda Martyrs University.
She is always happy to help and share her knowledge and expertise to help others business that would like to become sustainable. She believes that partnerships with the government, business and communities are the way forward to achieving a footprint. On the other hand, she always strives to learn more from colleagues and the environment around her.
Based on my background and the knowledge of possibilities and challenges faced in Africa, my motto is to “Stay True toMy Roots” and keep contributing to the development of the continent in the various levels and ways.
