Marking International Women’s Day with Nwoya District

Northlight Green Services was honored to participate in the International Women’s Day celebrations held on 31st March 2026 in Nwoya District, alongside Koch Goma Town Council and a number of development partners committed to advancing women’s empowerment.

The event brought together different stakeholders with a shared purpose supporting the growth, inclusion, and well-being of women and girls within the community. It served as a reminder of the value of collaboration in addressing challenges and creating meaningful opportunities.

Through joint efforts, organizations continue to contribute to building resilience, encouraging participation, and ensuring that women’s voices are heard in spaces that matter. These collective actions, though sometimes small, play an important role in shaping more inclusive and supportive communities.

As the day was marked, it was also a moment to recognize and appreciate the strength, leadership, and everyday contributions of women. Their impact remains vital in driving progress and creating a better future for all.

Reflecting on this year’s commemoration, it reinforces the importance of sustaining these partnerships beyond a single day. Continued collaboration between local leaders, organizations, and communities will remain essential in supporting initiatives that uplift women and create lasting impact. Northlight Green Services remains committed to contributing to these efforts and supporting spaces where women can thrive and lead.
