Mr. Fred Andema is a Finance & Management Professional with over 19 years of progressive experience in the areas of Finance, Audit and Assurance, Strategy, Leadership & Governance & Project Management acquired while working with a number of Government Agencies, a Regional block as well as Private Audit & Accountancy practice with Andema Fred & Associates, Certified Public Accountancy Firm.
Fred has significant experience and exposure in the Public sector where he started out his Illustrious career as an Accountant with Uganda Revenue Authority & later on moving to National Water & Sewerage corporation where he served as a Manager in the Finance Department. Fred would later on move to Kampala Capital City Authority where he initially worked as Manager Finance and later on moving on to work as Director for Revenue Collection.
In continuance of his public sector roles, Fred later moved on to join the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development(IGAD), a regional block of the East & Horn of Africa as the Chief of Finance & Administration based in Adisababa, Ethiopia and Juba, South Sudan.
Fred is exposed to and has experience in Managing projects funded by the; World Bank, African Development Bank, European Union, GIZ, Swiss Cooperation, Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and several other Multinational partners.
Fred is a Fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountants of the United Kingdom and also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda. He holds a Master’s degree in Economic Policy Management with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He has undergone several specialized trainings in Leadership and Governance. He is a John C Maxwell trained leadership practioner.
Fred has a lot of Board & Governance experience having served on the Boards of a number of entities largely in the Public and Private sector. He currently serves as the Chairman of Board of Chemiphar Uganda Limited, a Private Analytical Laboratory Company. Fred also sits on the Board of Marianium Press Limited, a private Printing and Publishing Company wholly owned by the Catholic Church as well as on the Board Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee of the Joint Medical store, a leading Private Medical products warehousing, supplies and distribution company owned by the Catholic and Protestant Medical Bureaus. He previously served on the Board Finance Committee of the Joint Medical Store. Fred currently sits on the Board Finance, Audit and Risk Committee of the Joint Health Care Ltd, a private equity investment of the Joint Medical Store. Fred previously served on the Finance Committee of Council of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda.
Fred is married with Four Children and currently lives in Kampala Uganda.
