Throughout his career, Ginyera Michael Lisson has excelled in leading cross-functional teams to achieve network goals that align with business objectives. His ability to bridge the gap between technical intricacies and organizational goals has been instrumental in his success in delivering seamless connectivity, security, and scalability.
Ginyera Michael Lisson’s journey began with a Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering from Uganda Institute of Information and Communications Technology, where he cultivated a solid foundation in mobile and fixed communication networks. He embarked on a career that spanned over fifteen years, during which he held pivotal roles at prominent institutions such as Ministry of ICT under the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) that was charged with the implementing the National Data Transmission Backbone Infrastructure and eGovernment Infrastructure (NBI/EGI), a flagship project meant to provide fast, secure and reliable communication services for the Government of Uganda to improve service delivery and ensure affordable connectivity for underserved regions in the country. He soon upgraded to a Bachelors in Information Technology from Makerere University and progressed as part of the pioneer team that operationalized and continued to serve various levels at the National Information Technology Authority Uganda (NITA-U), a semi-autonomous body, currently spearheading the transformation of lives through e-service delivery. Ginyera Michael Lisson’s ability to drive network advancements while nurturing collaborative partnerships has been a hallmark of his professional journey.
Beyond his professional network management prowess, Ginyera Michael Lisson has also demonstrated his enthusiasm in entrepreneurship, innovation, and social work through various projects undertaken on a personal level. His diverse passions mirror his ability to balance technical acumen with well-rounded interests. In all this however, Ginyera Michael Lisson believes that social work has potential for positive transformation and should be a profound factor of everyone’s life driven by a vision of a world where every individual, regardless of their background, has the chance to lead a life of dignity, purpose, and fulfillment.
